Campane is a musical tool. I imagined a simple principle, a double bell where a metal ball enters and moves around.
The purpose of the ball is to excite the metal, which makes the bells ring and vibrate and then the ball in turn and so on. I integrate a spring system that allows the manner of a charlestone to muffle the sound or not which doubles the possibilities of sound. The way they are soldered and dipped directly in cold water allows the two bells to have two different heights. Its construction is made from what I find, a nut found on the ground, a worn and donated tool handle, Tibetan bowls found or bought...
Object that I called campane it is for me like a symbol of the many sounds that sing in the metal workshop, I would define it as a musical tool.
Campane has played in two concerts, including one at the British Council.
